July 2017: Astra devices move to 3G/UMTS and GNSS

This year, we have been very busy updating our devices to support all global satellite navigation systems (GNSS), including GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO and BeiDou. Our advanced devices (AT110 & AT240) have also been upgraded to support 3G/UMTS with 5 bands to support all global territories in a single device. Device appearance, configuration, accessories and usage remain largely unchanged, so that existing clients won't have to start the learning curve again.

AT200, AT210 and AT240 are now shipping in the new hardware specifications, and the AT110 will follow a little later this year.

Jan 2017: Introducing our modular communications protocol X

During 2016, we asked many of our clients for their thoughts and preferences regarding communication protocols. The result was a new modular communication protocol, which we have assigned the name "Protocol X". This modular protocol allows clients to configure the data content they require from our devices, and to add new features/applications as and when required, avoiding the need to implement new device handlers / parsers whenever anything changes. We hope that this will make life easier for all of us in the industry and allow new developments to be deployed and integrated more quickly than every before.

Protocol X is supported by all our devices from firmware version 7.x.x.x which is available now!

June 2014: Introducing the AT200, our lowest cost device ever!

Our AT200 low-cost vehicle tracking device uses similar technology to our other devices, but with a keen eye on costs! Like our AT210, it is aimed at basic applications with lower budgets. Housed in a tiny and rugged ABS box, the AT200 has internal antennas for GPS, GSM and Bluetooth.

The AT200 is available now!

August 2012: Introducing the AT210

Our AT210 basic vehicle tracking device uses identical technology to our AT240 and AT110 devices, but with only bare essential features, it is aimed at basic applications with lower budgets. Housed in a tiny and rugged IP67 box, the AT210 has internal antennas plus the option of using an external GPS antenna (e.g. where device location is not an optimal location for GPS signal).

The AT210 is available now.
